Pääministeri Matti Vanhanen (kesk) arvioi Keskisuomalaisessa, ettei uusi journalistien lähdesuojaa kaventava lakiesitys rajoita sananvapautta tai tiedonsaantia. Pääministeri toivoo, että lehdistö ei loisi mielikuvaa, jonka mukaan lakiesitys toteutuessaan lieventäisi poliitikkojen toimien kontrollointia.
