Pelosi Pouts, Carter Charges Are Liberals Latest Attacks On Tea Parties

Just a few days after former President Jimmy Carter claimed that opposition to Obama was based on racism; House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has made another ludicrous charge. At a press conference yesterday, Pelosi said that some of the recent protests have reminded her of what happened in San Francisco in the late 70’s.

These are scandalous charges from desperate people who see the political tide turning in this country. Carter and Pelosi are both hopeless left wing fools who embrace government expansionism and have not shown any appreciation for the U.S. Constitution or the pursuit of freedom and liberty. Their ideology is under attack and they are using every rhetorical weapon in their arsenal to hold onto power. Of course, the liberal media is assisting their cause, but, thankfully, most Americans are wise to their act and their genuine anger will not dissipate until Pelosi and company are no longer in power.

Just a few days after former President Jimmy Carter claimed that opposition to Obama was based on racism; House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has made another ludicrous charge. At a press conference yesterday, Pelosi said that some of the recent protests have reminded her of what happened in San Francisco in the late 70’s.

Pelosi stated that “This kind of rhetoric is just, is really frightening and it created a climate in which we, violence took place and … I wish that we would all, again, curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements that are made.”

At one point, Pelosi started to cry, lamenting the “violence” of the tea parties and town hall meetings.

What a comic display of foolishness by an inept “leader.” It is quite sad to think that Pelosi is second in line to the presidency. If she cannot handle elderly folks at town hall meetings, how could she handle dealing with dictators like Putin or Chavez or dealing with corrupt groups like ACORN?

Regarding ACORN, the Speaker was clueless about the amendment to strip the organization of government funding. When asked about the Senate vote, Pelosi said that “I don’t even know what they passed.” She asked, “What did they do? They de-funded it?” Later on in the week, the House voted to follow suit and de-fund the group. Maybe if Pelosi spent more time worrying about government waste and corrupt groups like ACORN and less time crying about tea parties she would be a more effective Speaker.

If she really is concerned about the “violence,” Pelosi is truly misinformed. In fact, the vast majority of the violence at these town hall meetings and tea parties has been committed by union thugs, or liberal activists upset at the anti-government messages being conveyed.

More likely, Pelosi is intentionally attempting to impugn the integrity of the tea party activists and town hall protesters. It is another ploy to distract attention from the health care issue and the fact that a majority of Americans (53% according to the latest Rasmussen poll) are opposed to the “reform” bill.

Pelosi, Carter, Obama and Democratic allies desperately want to minimize and marginalize the protests which are occurring all over the country. Several weeks ago, she lamented a “swastikas” sign was displayed at a town hall meeting. Of course, the one sign was a warning about the Obama administration and not an embrace of Nazism. Once again, Pelosi purposely tried to defame protestors by linking them to both Nazism and violence.

These attempts by Pelosi Carter and others will not work, but will only embolden protesters to become even more active.
